[edit] Review by Moonriddengirl

I've had a look at your talk page and its archives, at your previous editor review (and Wikipedia:Editor review/Dreamafter2) and your recent RfA. I see a lot of great wikignoming going on. You seem to dedicate a lot of time to the project, and it seems to me like you're a valuable contributor. :)

You do a lot of good clean-up of articles, but I think you might want to step up your use of warnings and notifications. I notice that you didn't hand any out after after this, this or this, for instance. Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace has a ton of them that you might like to check into. Personalized for almost every situation. :)

I'm not quite sure what happened with your clean-up here, which seemed to wipe out some of the content on the page. And speaking of wiping out content, I can't figure out why you removed the warnings here. It seems to have been intentional, since you had already successfully placed your welcome message, and your edit summary is not helpful in figuring out what you had in mind. You might want to be specific in such extraordinary cases so that other editors can understand what you're doing.

While you got a little bit bitey here, for the most part you seem very good at communicating with other users. I'm impressed by how well you took criticism during your recent RfA and your civility to the editors there and also here.

As a general suggestion, you might want to review the speedy deletion criteria. I don't understand your rationale for this tag and suspect that if you read over the policy and its linked guidelines and explanations you would not have tagged the article in that way. You might also have chosen to nominate Dennis Demille for speedy on WP:CSD#GC12 rather than taking it through Wikipedia:Copyright problems. That said, I appreciate your taking the time to place the user tag—these are handy for educating users who do not know the policies and essential for deleting copyright vios. If you do run into a copyright violation that isn't sufficient for speedy GC12, please pay careful attention to the instructions at Copyright problems to "blank the page" when you put the copyvio notice on it. We can't leave the copyvio visible while waiting for it to be tended. :)

You might also want to review WP:SELFPUB. I noticed that you marked out the link to Myspace in the article Proud Mary (band). This would be quite right if it were being used for notability assertions or to support contentious claims, but Myspace can be an acceptable source for additional information when the article is about the Myspace author and the authorship is not in question.

Finally, I believe you might be a little quick to mark things as "minor edits", like this, this and this. "Minor edits" are really for edits that nobody would typically bother looking at—punctuation changes, tiny formatting repairs, that sort of thing. :)

When you feel like you're ready for a new challenge, you might want to, as your first editor review suggested, try tackling more substantial article editing. You might, for example, choose to revisit some of your earlier articles, like Legion Belge, which could use wikification and sourcing. There are also many opportunities for article writing at Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles, for example at Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/fr. You might also enjoy contributing to Wikipedia:Translation/*/Lang/fr.

I'd like to note that you seem to learn very well from suggestions and have been steadily improving your performance on Wikipedia. I have little doubt that this is a trend that will continue. Good work, and happy editing. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:05, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I would easily have to say Legion Belge and Minor Artemis Fowl Characters, and Anzio War Cemetery. The first two articles, I created and the third article I brought into line with Wikipedia standards.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Not by me, no. I am currently mediating a case, in which people have been blocked for the 3RR.
