Disneyfreak96 (talk ยท contribs) I would like to become an admin down the road, and do not want to pick up bad habits now. I mainly deal with vandalism and edit when I come across something that looks like it could use some help. Often it will simply be correcting the version of English, or keeping correct tenses. Reviews One of the jobs of an admin is vandal fighting so I believe you should continue doing so. Since you want to become an admin, I strongly suggest the following:

  1. Increase your edits to up to 4000 or more with roughly half of it devoted to mainspace (articles) edits
  2. Sign up in Wikipedia:Admin coaching after you achieved number one
  3. Try to edit in other namespaces such as portals and Templates
  4. Improve articles and make them DYK's, featured articles or good articles
  5. Lurk in admin related pages such as WP:RFA, WP:RFC and WP:ANI. You could even comment if you feel like you could add something worthwhile in the discussion.

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
    I am most pleased by my first edits. I was cautious and spent time correcting only small problems. One example is switching out the word "countless" with "many". I am also pleased with my first vandalism reversals. I tried to give the user the benefit of the doubt. I have tried to keep these examples in mind as I continue to edit to this day.   2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
    Yes I have. In one case, I simply let the person know I did not feel it was productive to work together at this time. After a break, we are now working with another article. I have worked in high pressure jobs before and I find that sometimes I simply need to leave for a bit, go work on another article or leave Wikipedia long enough to listen to a relaxing album, and then return in a better mood.
