Ck_lostsword (talk · contribs) I have enjoyed editing Wikipedia for about 9 months. However, I would like to know what I need to work on, possibly with a long-term view to becoming an admin. It must be said that I really rather enjoy the 'behind the scenes jobs' - random article spell-checking, for example. Also, my edit count has shot up recently, largely due to vandal-blasting (a newfound pleasure), so though I have been somewhat erratic recently, I hope that my edits will increase more steadily from now on. Anyhow, I need to know generally how I'm doing and what I need to focus on. Thanks. Ck lostsword|queta! 19:32, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

- With your eventual goal of adminship in mind, I suggest that you involve yourself more in the Wikipedia and Wikipedia Talk namespaces, which will help raise your involvement there up to a level where people will be happier to support you. To achieve that, you could try something like WP:AFD or WP:RfA, either of which will go a long way to improving your knowledge of some of the most obscure parts of adminship and Wikipedia policy. Oh, and set yourself a long-term goal of 1,000 edits to articles and 250 to their talk pages before running for adminship, since many people will oppose based on a lack of experience writing articles. Overall, you're doing just fine, and I look forward to seeing you start an RfA in good time. :) Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 09:05, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- I see a ton of low-entropy AWB edits spamming my watchlist (not a good way for people to notice you for an upcoming RFA): changing people's signatures [1] [2] [3], removing a blank line [4] [5], etc. You might consider creating a secondary account for these semi-automated AWB edits. —Quarl (talk) 2006-09-17 20:48Z

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I enjoy all aspects of editing, and have recently started to really enjoy patrolling recent changes. I have few articles that I work steadily on, but Age of Empires III is one of them. Most of what I do there is rewriting, fixing layout and guiding the page in general. However, I do occasionally add new content, and recently began to work on improving it to Good Article standard. Though that is still far off, I hope to have a hand in it when eventually it arrives.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I have very rarely been involved in an actual conflict. However, on my talk page , you can find a comparatively long-running discussion with one Dougp59, who wanted to add a self-created website link to a high-visibility article (Evolution). By collaborating with another user, we managed to persuade him not to - I hope, reasonably amicably. This event was really useful, as it gave me experience collaborating with other users to improve an article, and to help another user.
- Why are you removing contributions of user 213.217.244.167 named Warren Sammut, and telling him that he is playing around? I have checked the articles myself, and they are all correct contributions. Are by any means special in here? Thank you.
