Reviews

Hi, Chetblong, and thank you for signing up for an editor review. Let me first say that I am sorry your editor review has not been responded to in a quick manner, I am trying to kill the backlog here tonight, and your next on the list. Second, I will try to complete this review in a neutral manner, however, be warned (haha) that I am a mac lover, and it seems that you are not! Oh well, I will do my best ;). Anyways, Chetblong, you have put 855 edits under your belt as of Tue Jun 19 01:38:50 2007 GMT, which is very good, considering that you only started editing at 18:05 of 6 April 2007. You should be very proud of yourself. I am sorry your RfA was snowballed, and I hope you try again in some months time. This month, you have, so far, made 694 edits to the site. I will assume that is because school is out now and you have more time to edit. I am very glad that you are fighting vandalism and welcoming new users, however, you have 382 talk page edits per your 252 edits in the mainspace. I would suggest that you make more main space and Wikipedia space edits. Considering voting at RfAs or XfDs more often. Most of your edits are Microsoft related. I am glad that you have found some articles that you like to edit, however, do not get too attached to articles that criticize Microsoft, because it seems you have had a few run-ins there. I would suggest branching out into different parts of Wikipedia. Final note, unless this is a joke, I would recommend removing the userbox which reads: This user feels that Warren hates him. Userboxes should not discriminate. It has been my pleasure to review you, and I hope you keep up your good work here! Wishes, wpktsfs 01:57, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello there, I just want to give you a few quick comments. Try to edit other articles in addition to focusing on topics related to computers. Now I haven't read your RfA but I can guess that it was turned down by people who gave these reasons such as "not contributing enough", "low edit count". I understand your frustration because it should be quality, not quantity that values if you are a good editor. However, the community wants to use edit count as a mean of evaluation, so I guess we have to go with the flow. Good luck on your path to become an admin. Hi! I've just noticed (admittedly by personal experience) that you may be whipping out the csd tagger a bit too quickly. Unless the text is obviously stupid or unsuitable, it's always a good idea to check for notability. Of course google searches only go so far, but are still a quick reference point for articles like companies, etc. Also if you still have doubts, it's worth checking if the new page comes from an experienced contributor (hint, hint :-), and if so - try voicing concerns through other avenues first. Otherwise you're doing a great job, keep it up! -Pumpmeup 02:19, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Reverting vandalism because I feel I'm helping the whole Wikipedia community
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I'm currently in a conflict about Criticism of Windows Vista, so far I've only added a {{pov}} tag to the article and given the reasons on the talk page using Wikipedia guidelines and rules. I plan to resolve it by working the issue out with the other editors and fix the Criticism of Windows Vista page to the liking of all the editors. I will do the same with every dispute I come across.
