Beneaththelandslide (talk · contribs) Generally just concerned what other wikipedians think of my edits, myself and whether I am of benefit to the community. I am looking above all for criticism, and harsh and honest criticism at that. If I get it, I'll know how to improve. If I don't get it, I will not. Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to write something!

  • As far as harsh criticism goes... uh, you have "th" in your username twice in a row. But you did well in dealing calmly with a rather obstinate user who's now banned. And it looks like you're making good contributions on articles in your area, including a featured article candidate.   • As an editor, you are well-accomplished. You have contributed significantly to the encyclopædia and are responsible for a massive expansion in coverage for topics of and related to South Australia and its capital. A specific element of your editing manner that deserves recognition is your committment to bringing individual articles up to standard; whatever you start at, you finish. You are now at a stage where you are embracing the community element of Wikipedia, with a marked increase in user interaction and project participation in recent months (at least insofar as I've noticed). One of the criticisms I could offer is that you have a tendency to lose perspective in content disputes (particular those political in nature); it is important to remember to compromise and comment diplomatically, even when faced against the more difficult users.   • I see your work everywhere, Michael, because we both work a lot on SA-related articles -- actually you works a lot more on them than I -- so I'm pretty familiar with your edits even though we've interacted little. From my perspective, you appear a model Wikipedian -- doing whatever you do very thoroughly (as already noted by Cyberjunkie). I can't recall seeing any poor or unverifiable edits from you. Nor can I recall any cases of "bad faith" community participation. The only possible suggestion I'd give is to encourage you to try taking on some of the CSB project articles -- even ones of your own choosing -- particularly about non-Anglophone places.   • Sets the standard in related to Australian suburban and geography related articles. Cyberjunkie pretty much said it all as I've also noticed you become more communicative of late and 'embracing the community'. You're a valuable editor. Keep it up.   1. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
    Waterfall Gully is my first featured article. Other articles I am particularly proud of are Hazelwood Park, Toorak Gardens, Dulwich and Mount Osmond; all suburbs in my local area. I recently put up History of Burnside for FAC.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
    I am pleased to say that I have been in few conflicts (from my point of view) and although have been annoyed at times have usually been impressed with the courtesy and sincerity of other editors.
    1. Just seeing the photo of Eagle on the Hill you took, do you know when it closed? I had my reception there and was curious.... Thanks.
