[edit] Purpose

I set up this sandbox up for folks in the AmericanDust discussion group who wish to make changes to various DU related articles but who might not want to directly edit articles. I placed a link on the page for the alpha decay article which some have expressed concerns about. You do not need to have a Wikipedia account to edit here, or the actual articles. I encourage people to get accounts although I understand some people may not wish to do this. Remember that you actually make less information public by using an account. Information about your ISP and to a lesser extent yourself can be gathered from a IP address, which is displayed if you do not register but not if register. Getting an account will also give you a modicum of credibility in the Wikipedia community. This is especially useful if later you wish to participate in Wikipedia processes that resolve questions through consensus.

This is talk page. It's purpose is to make comments about the contents of the sandbox. To get to the sandbox page click on the "user page" tab above.

As you add material please keep in mind:

  • Use neutral language
  • provide citations and sources for any new information
  • don't worry about mistakes, anything you do here can be easily fixed
  • leave a note here if you have any questions about how to do things
  • remember you are free to edit articles directly without trying things here first
  • keep in mind that no information is lost in a wiki, histories are keep of all versions reflecting changes, even if material is deleted it can be easily retrieved and viewed. This is true of articles, user pages, discussion pages and sandboxes. This is a very public process and requires discretion.

[edit] Copied full article Alpha Decay to sandbox

I copied the entire article to our sandbox. We can now make edits without effecting the "real" article. This will allow us to develop a plan for the article without interference. I will need to read it a few time to really grasp everything. One thing that immediately stands out is that the article is not properly sourced. Edivorce 02:27, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bio's of Authorities

I derived the list of recognized authorities from a list posted on the topic. Those that are blue have WP articles, red not yet:
