Hacked Account
No edits have been made using your old account. Are you sure it got hacked into? Or did you just forget the password? Did you try the "e-mail new password" function to have a new password for that account e-mailed to you so that you can log back in? I had my IM account hacked once, and they changed the password. But by using the forget password function, I got their new password and was able to log back in. ColdFusion650 20:11, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- I definitely got the password right, I had it written down in a safe place. Unfortunately, when I created it I didn't enter my email address (doh!) so I can't get a new password. Thanks anyway. Editus Reloaded 09:04, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
WP:007 matters
Please don't remove vital details from the plot. THe idea is to condense it by better wording rather than rmeoving information. Thankyou ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:12, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Provisional WikiProject:CSI
This section is for comments regarding the creation - and subsequent development if it gets off the ground - of a WikiProject concerning the CSI franchise of TV shows, spin-off novels and video games. If you have any comments or offers of help (especially concerning the graphic novels!) please post below. Positive criticism is welcomed, but offerings such as "get a life you sad TV addict" (full credit to my younger brother here) will not be tolerated. I have posted a proposal on the project proposal page here. If I garner enough interest in WP:CSI, this talk page section will act as the temporary project page until a proper one is established. Editus Reloaded 16:07, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
After being told by acquaintances to stop being such a wet fish, I have set up a WP:CSI page, on the off-chance that someone will read it and join in. Editus Reloaded 13:08, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Wikiproject CSI
As a CSI viewer and creator and most active editor of The Miniature Killer, I'd be happy to join. I don't know how much service I'll be able to provide, but I'll do what I can. I would suggest making the project look different from the James Bond project though. ;) 20:20, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
You can also count me in. I am largely approaching from the Comics Project (where I have been srting things out and have been focusing on the franchises) but as I'm a fan of the show I'll try and contribute what I can. (Emperor 20:24, 11 May 2007 (UTC))
- WP:CSI is great, but you know I've been monitoring most of the CSI-related pages and as far as I've seen, there has been meager interest in CSI among wikipedians since the inception of the official CSI wiki. Can't blame people; the CBS site has much more content for fans of the show (official photos & behind-the-scenes info, you know, stuff that we can't get anywhere else). It would be really great for this project if the CSI pages had more activity, sadly that's just not the case.
- I myself have been losing interest since the copyright gestapo has removed all the screenshots from most TV episode lists. However one show that was spared was Smallville, so I was thinking of copying their format for the episode lists to bring the screenshots back, but I'm reluctant to start if they're just gonna get deleted again. — Sandtiger 17:42, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Lists of episodes-clarification
- handing you a scythe* You are correct, sir. Citing this precident, Episode lists should not have images. To do so is against fair-use. Per Ryūlóng:
- Using screenshots for every single episode in a television series in a single list is considered a violation of the Wikipedia:Non-free content (formerly fair use) policies. This does not mean that we want all fair use images to go, as they are very likely used in a way that is acceptable under policy. We only think that pages do not need 300 non-free screenshots to correspond with 300 episodes.
Nuff said :) -- Ipstenu (talk • contribs) 18:55, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- That's one helluva precedent. And "sir" is unnecessary, though appreciated. Editus Reloaded 18:58, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Dead or Alive
I think Mobley lost the election or ran for Mayor or something and that he's alive. I'd have to re-watch the episode, and honestly I watch more for Jorja Fox than anything else :) The ever rotating Sheriff always made me nutty. -- Ipstenu (talk • contribs) 21:06, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Even Elyse's CSI site doesn't have much on him. His last ep was Overload, and that's as much as I can remember. Hrm. I suppose I could re-read the TWoP recaps and see if anything pops up. Ah well. I'm for putting 'alive' unless we saw 'em dead. (And now I'm wondering who was dead in Cross Jurisdictions! I thought it was the Sheriff!) -- Ipstenu (talk • contribs) 13:09, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Grizzley Murder
Or y'nkow I just redirected it to List of CSI: Miami episodes. I get why it failed a Speedy, and with a redirect, all the info is still left in the page history. That's what other folks have been doing with 'bad' episode pages (pejorative use of 'bad' I know, but I'm blanking on a better word and it's poorly written. I haven't seen the episode, though so I can't fix it). -- Ipstenu (talk • contribs) 16:03, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Awww thanks!

League of Copyeditors
I'm very sorry I haven't had a chance to welcome you earlier, I have been incredibly busy lately. We are glad to have your help. Currently, we have really cut down the backlog of articles in need of copyedit. Therefore, a major goal at this moment is to identify new articles that are in need of work. When you run across them, be sure to tag them for copyediting.
If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to drop me a line. Trusilver 00:55, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Sale, Greater Manchester FAC
Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a LoCE member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Sale, Greater Manchester article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 07:39, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Activity at WP CSI
I doubt you can second guess this kind of thing (or worry too much) - who knows what the cause or solution is (perhaps it is just the Summer hols or hayfever - the latter is killing me ;) ). I think the important thing to bear in mind is: a) Most projects only have a core, b) There are then others who don't sign up but drop by with comments and thoughts or just looking for advice, c) There are people who don't even know the project exists. The numbers probably resemble a pyramid. You are probably right, the best thing is a drive to get CSI boxed off and start on the others (as well as expanding the ones we have) as that will encourage more people to get involved which might in turn draw people into the project (although the important thing is that other people are editting the stuff which the project providing a guiding hand to make sure everything is consistent and gets the best start possible - which the temaplte should help with). No easy answers - just got to keep plugging away. (Emperor 13:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC))

Casino Royale (1967 film)
Hi,
I was wondering if you would vote for this film as the next James Bond Collaboration at Wikipedia:WikiProject James Bond/Collaboration of the fortnight.
The film is increasingly viewed as an epic, comic, satire of the whole James Bond genre.
Thanks,

CSI templates
The reason I marked the CSI character pages with the in-universe page is the same reason the star trek character ones have in universe tags. The majority of the article should be real world info. This includes casting information, character creation/development (real world, ie. writers), critical acclaim, reception, etc. The majority of the articles are primarily, and in most cases only, in universe information. The in universe information should be minimal, and the majority of the article should be real world information. As far as the spoiler tags go, I didnt place those there, so I have no idea why those are there. Ejfetters 03:25, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Also, by the way - the tag in no way detracts from the article or proposes it should be deleted. It simply draws readers attention to the issue at hand, users that may have the information needed to improve the article. The format of the article if laid out as stated above can help improve the articles' standards, and eventually if done correctly, can improve the status of the article to good or even featured articles. League of Copyeditors roll call
Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there. The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors. |

Fox in the infobox
There's a discussion going on at User_talk:DJS24#Infoboxes on weather Jorja Fox should be in the CSI main article's infobox. Maybe you could comment.--Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 13:46, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- The discussion has nothing to do with Jorja Fox and the more people dipping into the pot at that discussion the further downhill it's rolling. IrishLass (talk) 17:12, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- You don't want more people dipping in because anyone that has, disagreed with your theory of present tense. The dispute on my page, has nothing to do with CSI, though the CSI infobox dispute is related to the Las Vegas infobox or any TV show infobox dispute on my talk page. Irishlass is under the "present tense" theory, that I do understand however I disagree using it in the infoboxes. For the longest time, all the TV infoboxes had only the show's current information related to the show. That current information included mention of only the current stars. Any former stars was mention later in the site under "Former Stars". Now we have IrishLass using this "present tense" theory, that he/she is only using on the Las Vegas/CSI sites. ALL other current TV show sites show only the current stars. Now some of the shows; show the Season # followed by the cast, which is the way I believe it should be in the box. Shows such as ER, Law and Order, Ugly Betty, and much more show only current stars. Now if the show goes off air or stops making new episodes, then yes, you would include ALL stars, present and past. Now, if possible I'm all for opening a discussion on "Infoboxes", not much just for CSI but for all shows. Please get back, as this dispute with Irishlass is getting very tiring. Irishlass doesn't senn to understand the concept of the infobox and its related information. If you read my talk page you will see all my arguements and all of Irishlass's agruements.
