[edit] Please stop inserting your name into Islamic articles
If you are noteworthy, other people will note your existence. Please stop inserting self-aggrandizing material in various Islam-related articles. You will just get reverted -- and if you keep inserting it, you will eventually be banned. Think about it -- is this really the right way to get people to recognize you as a religious thinker? It certainly doesn't seem very humble. Zora 23:20, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree with Zora. Please stop advertising beliefs in Islam-related articles. I doubt that many people have heard of you and Mr. Janjhua before. Wikipedia is not the place to make someone famous or raise one's credibility and support. Please remember this is an encyclopedia and all neutral/legitimate comments and edits are accepted whereas such extreme Point of View will be deleted. Also please make sure your pictures are smaller as they are taking way too much space. Even the founder of wikipedia does not have an image that large! Thank you and I hope you will co-operate. --Anonymous editor 23:32, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

- I also would like to add that sockpuppetry is prohibited in Wikipedia. "A sock puppet describes an additional account created by an existing member of an Internet community, sometimes to manufacture the illusion of support in a vote or argument." Thus, there is a possible connection between you and user:Idmkhizar. Therefore I would advise you that if both of these accounts are by the same person, please stop as that fits the description of sockpuppetry and it is very very likely that you will both get banned. Thanks. --Anonymous editor 23:51, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] re the picture you have uploaded
Hi! I just noticed that you have recently uploaded this picture: [1], without adding any information about it's copyright status. Pictures without any copyright information might very well get deleted again at some point in the future, so if the information regarding regarding it's copyright status is available to you, it would be much appriciated if you make it available there also. Stereotek 28 June 2005 20:00 (UTC)
Edip- Thats my very own picture.
- If you own the copyright yourself, then please choose a license that you'll allow us to use it under here in the 'pedia/in other projects. All the options are available for you consideration here. Personally, I often prefer to add this tag: {{PD-self}}
I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible, |
- to the photos that I upload, because I see it as a very flexible license that makes it easy for all kind of projects to legally use my photos. -- Stereotek 29 June 2005 06:15 (UTC)
[edit] Free Minds
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Free Minds. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
- Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
- Make your case on the article's talk page.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --Onorem 12:58, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Yuksel.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Yuksel.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MER-C 05:27, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Edip Yuksel- The picture is my own and can also be found at my website www.yuksel.org, right on the front page. user:Edip Yuksel
- Do you understand that we will delete this image if you insist on making it available only for non-commercial use? Wikipedia accepts (primarily) images for free distribution. That makes sense of course since our purpose is to publish a free encyclopedia anyone can use in any way. Since you have chosen "non-commercial" use for your image, we must remove it per our own policies. I'll give you a day or so to sort this out, though I can't promise another admin won't delete it before then. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Edip Yuksel: Sorry there seems to have been a misunderstanding on my side. Mistake corrected. user:Edip Yuksel
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Blake3522 06:00, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
