[edit] labeling art...

hi, i'm not really sure how to use wikipedia, i'm really new to all of this, but someone directed me here and i figured i should try to settle this. i'm james and i play guitar in edison glass. i can see there has been some debate here about whether or not we're a "christian" band. to give my two cents, we do not consider our music to be "christian". that phrase (christian music) carries so many different meanings to so many people and is a very ambiguous label that we'd prefer to detach from. we are not ashamed of our faith, we'd love to discuss our thoughts on what it means to follow christ in our daily lives. however, in my opinion the word "christian" should not be used as an adjective, but as a noun. what makes one thing christian or not? what makes certain music christian? when we get into the labeling game it begins to open up the door to judgement. "angelic in heart" is a song that joshua silverberg wrote about his wife, does that mean it's not a christian song? also we do not want to be called a christian band because we never intended our music to be heard strictly by christians. we welcome all, these songs are not directed to any one group of people, they are just songs about our lives, our experiences, and thoughts, and yes most of those things are attatched one way or another to thoughts on god, but our music is no more christian than the computer you are reading this on is christian. it is art, not a person. if we must label art, then let's at least label it by style or genre rather than what the artist's personal beliefs are. -james, edison glass Bluestarblackcar 15:24, 15 May 2006 (UTC)bluestarblackcar

If you were really Edison Glass's guitarist, then you've contridicted other interviews from the band that states that "you guys" are a Christian band. I have my doubts.IronCrow 23:32, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Time Is Fiction Link.

There is a Time Is Fiction article which has been labeled Time Is Friction. Being a wikipedia n00b without an account I really don't know how to fix this. So if anyone more experienced could work on this it would be great.

[edit] Edison Glass Personally Connecting with fans

Edison Glass is different from other bands, in the sense of truly connect with fans in the most personal way. Using a service called SayNow, the band sends their fans voice and text messages on what's going on with the group. They keep in direct contact with his fans of their latest updates on tour, random stories on the road and member (Mountain) getting married. These messages can be heard on their SayNow Page or by calling their number 917-338-3878. They also use SayNow to call their fans back. I really don't want my stuff to be deleted again. think Edison Glass is really great in reaching out to fans and I want other people to know about the great stuff they're doing. Thanks. [edit] What about Christian rock

How come It is not said how they are Christian before I think It should have been said sooner.
