AWM Caption: A woman chalks the name "Edith" on the hull of a Japanese Midget Submarine on display in the Exhibition Gardens in Melbourne, Victoria. The submarine took part in the unsuccessful attack on Sydney Harbour on the night of 31 May 1942.
