Edith Iglauer (or Edith Iglauer Hamburger) is the author of Denison's Ice Road and The New People: The Eskimo's Journey into our Time among other books. She is also a freelance writer for The New Yorker, Harper's, and Atlantic Monthly. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and educated at Wellesley College and at Columbia University School of Journalism.
She has a fascination with Eskimo culture which led her to travel the northern climates extensivley.
Iglauer appeared as herself along with John Denison in the History Channel presentation, Ice Road Truckers.
