Edinburg Theological Seminary

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Edinburg Theological Seminary (ETS) is uniquely geared to the equipping of Hispanics for ministry, as well as those pastors who contemplate a Hispanic component to their ministry within the fastest growing lingual-cultural demographics in the United States. Addressing the specific needs of this population, ETS is one of the first institutions to offer a Bachelor of Divinity in Bilingual Christian Education, and various programs leading to a Masters in Hispanic Ministries.

Located in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, the seminary has both undergraduate and graduate students in its general studies and distance learning programs. All course lectures at the main campus in Edinburg, Texas, are given in both English and Spanish.

Holding to a Biblically-reformed worldview of the Sovereignty of God and the Lordship of Christ over all of life, ETS is home to many first-generation Americans eager to bring the transforming power of the Gospel to those arriving here at the border in this new land.
