[edit] Do not edit WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007

RVD has not been confirmed, even though you adamantly believe he has. If you're gonna add someone to the officially confirmed roster, you had better have a source. Truth be told, a reporter only asked him what he thought about his character for the upcoming game. That doesn't mean anything. I could ask my mom what she has planned for her character in SVR2007, that doesn't mean she's in the game! Furthermore, RVD's suspension from the WWE for drug possession very well could get him excluded from the game as punishment. Lastly, editing profanity and immature comments into the article page because you don't agree with something is not the way to deal with the issue. There are much more civilized ways to behave. Perhaps you don't understand English very well? Y2kcrazyjoker4 06:18, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Having just read your edits and looking up IGN, I presume the screenshot you're talking about is this one. That is not 2007, that was taken during THQ's WWE Superstar Challenge using the 2006 game with a Nitro CAW against the game's RVD character. You can tell it is 2006 due to the HUD shapes. I hope this clears this all up. --Oakster (Talk) 11:27, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Luton v Liverpool

Thanks for the entry about the match however I think you will find that individual match reports are not considered encyclopedic unless they are much more significant than a 3rd round FA Cup game. On the other hand there probably aren't many people watching the Luton page so maybe it will stay for a little while. It was a great game whatever the result.

I was born in Luton and grew up there as a fanatical supporter, I accidently moved to the US in 1979 and this was the first time I've ever seen Luton live on TV, I've probably been to 200 LTFC games in person, mostly before I left. [edit] Triple H/Road to WrestleMania Tournament

I've noticed you've twice removed results for the Road to WrestleMania Tournament and Triple H articles because you think that it should be held up for the Australians, like it was for the US last week. I've reverted them now and am warning you not to do this again.

The main reasoning to keeping the spoilers is that we try to keep kayfabe, and when WWE.com which itself is in most cases a kayfabe website, announces RAW results on their website then it can be officially mentioned over here (the main reason why we let Kurt Angle's World title change early but not Booker T's US title change from the same episode). RAW's results last week were not put up there until Thursday night (except for spoiler section from Monday, unusally done) so we didn't put up here.

And while I'm on it, I've also noticed you've added your own comments in articles about incorrect details. Either discuss the change in the article's talk page or just edit it out. What you're doing is more or less vandalism. Anyway, happy editing and I hope you've got this sorted out. --Oakster 17:08, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] John Cena

When an image has stated by the side of it that it is a free image and tells you not to removed it please do not go ahead a remove it. It will be reverted back. Please take note of what things say. Lil crazy thing 10:59, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Great American Bash

Do NOT add Ken Kennedy as the opponent for Batista, as it has not been revealed by wwe.com or WWE programming. It will on Friday night, then you can add it. TJ Spyke 05:49, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject AFL Hi mate, if you're a fan of Aussie rules, I suggest you take a look at WikiProject AFL (join by adding your name to the list of participants) and the Australian rules football portal. Also take a look at Category:VFL/AFL players and feel free to drop me a line with any questions, or on the WP:AFL discussion page. Cheers!

[edit] A-League 2006-07 Newsletter I

Introduction
The first ever Wikiproject A-League newsletter is here! The 2006-07 A-League season will bring the usual enjoyment and fanaticism that only football/soccer can create. This new season also means a lot of (currently-open) tasks that require completion throughout the course of the next 21 weeks.
Position Ladder
A Position Ladder will be placed on each team page, which will provide an up-to-date visualization of the current A-League standings. However, problems may occur when Position Ladders aren't updated with the new statistics that don't involve matches of the team whose page the Position Ladder resides on. To remedy this, a base Position Ladder will be created, which will be located at {{2006-07 A-League Position Ladder}} (link). Please update this as soon as possible after the match has ended, as this will keep the Wikipedia community informed.

A few notes regarding the base Position Ladder:-

  • Please do not substitute the Position Ladder template on the team pages, as it won’t get automatically updated if you do.
  • Please only update the Position Ladder at the end of a match, and if there is any large dispute about the result, do not add it, but instead wait for an official report by the A-League confirming the result.
  • When updating, make sure to adjust all of the below fields:-
    • The played field – add one (eg. 13→14 etc.)
    • Either the win, loss or draw field, depending on the result for that team.
    • The points field – either add 3 points (win), 1 point (draw) or leave the same (loss)
    • The for and the against section
    • Make sure you repeat this process for both teams – not just the team you follow!
Summary Tables
Each team page will have a Summary Table added to it, which will provide an at-a-glance look at the results of the team throughout the season. We ask that, at every chance you get, you fill in the results of these Summary Tables – it only takes a few seconds, but it will help keep the uninformed "in the loop" – it is an encyclopedia we’re writing, after all.

As with the Position Ladders, a few notes about the Summary Tables:-

  • Please place the winner in bold text (using '''winning team''').
  • With the crowd figures, please only place a comma if the attendance is over 10,000 people (eg. use 8648 instead of 8,468 and 11,482 instead of 11482).

[edit] A-League Newsletter II, 2006

WikiProject A-League Newsletter
Issue II – September 2006
Current Player project status
10% complete
A-League News

Project News
  • The Player project has been moved, overhauled and refined. It now is not limited to the 2005-06 player list. However, only 10% of articles are considered "complete", and hopefully we can get this figure to approach 100% by the end of the season.
  • Major changes to the layout of the 2006-07 A-League season page have taken place recently, and an infobox created. A table for attendances, as well as top scorer etc. are now in place. All users are encouraged to update the scores for completed matches as they come in.
  • Recently, Perth Glory F.C. was moved to Perth Glory FC after no objections were raised at the Wikiproject talk page. All links to the old page (including various templates) were changed.
  • The project requires pictures of games and stadiums to help improve articles. Any pictures are much appreciated.
  • The A-League Portal has been set up. Feel free to update the scores, and make sure you check out the selected article and picture each fortnight.
  • The football (soccer) barnstar has recently became the official award of the Wikiproject. Feel free to hand it out to anyone you see making excellent contributions to all things A-League related.

From the Editor

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.

This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page.
