[edit] NX Zero

Hey there, how's it going? Just dropping you a message about your edit to NX Zero earlier (this one). You added 'Hardcore punk' as being a genre of NX Zero, and in the edit summary you left a brief biography of Bloodlined Calligraphy. I'm not sure how this relates to NX Zero, so I thought I'd drop by and kindly ask. While I'm here, I actually have no idea what genre NX Zero really is. Is it Hardcore? Metal? Punk? Pop? I really have no idea. (Well, I have a small idea, but it seems to conflict with what everyone else thinks, so it's probably wrong.) Despite this, I do know that unless something correct is decided on the article sooner or later, every newcomer to the article will be adding their own differing opinion - and it'll be a constantly changing mess. (I'm not saying that's what your edit was. Your edit was constructive, but some anonymous edits concerning genre on band articles aren't.) So let me know on your opinion of NX Zero's genre. Oh, and this message assumes that you're a listner of NX Zero - so apologies if this isn't the case.

All the best, -GilbertoSilvaFan (talk) 10:50, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Haha, this made my day, and it just started! The edit summary was just a copy/paste error; if you look at my contribs you'll see I edited Bloodlined Calligraphy recently as well. I was intending to paste Repairing link to disambiguation page -- You can help! or similar, but apparently forgot I had copied something else after copying the correct edit summary. Sorry for the confusion! I was in the middle of a round of disambiguation link repair changing hardcore to hardcore punk, so that's why I changed the genre. And no, I've never heard of or listened to these guys, so I guess the apology is accepted ;) I'm wondering how you came across the article, assuming you're not a fan due to the fact you're unsure of their genre. I have no clue how all those genres listed in the article match up. It has happened to me before while link repairing that I've had to revert suspected genre-vandalism, so maybe the genre is something to be investigated. But I don't really care :] ~EdGl 13:56, 29 March 2008 (UTC) Edit whoops, I noticed you were the article's creator, so you probably have listened to them; in which case, feel free to edit the genre section where you see fit. ~EdGl 13:59, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi again, thanks for the reply. That edit summary now makes sense! Thanks for clearing that up, it had me quite confused :-)

On the subject of genre - as you pointed out, I created the created the article and I quite like the band. Despite that though, I've still got no idea what genre they are. This whole 'hardcore vs. punk vs. nu metal vs. pop rock' thing is pointless and deeply annoying, yet people are so opinionated about it! To me, NX Zero don't really seem to fit into a single genre, yet many disagree with me, hence the conflicting edits. I guess I'll just go eat some celery and calm down about it all.

Thanks again, GilbertoSilvaFan (talk) 14:19, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
