Edgardo Donovan (a.k.a. Eddie Donovan) is an accomplished linguist, technologist, and entrepreneur. He was born in Milan, attended elementary school in the United States, and attended high school in Italy. He returned to the United States to attend Boston University and subsequently Harvard University. Edgardo holds an Associates of Science Degree in Communications Technology from the Community College of the Air Force (Montgomery, Alabama), an Associates of Arts Degree in Persian-Farsi from the Defense Language Institute (Monterey, California), a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Excelsior College (Albany, New York), and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Touro College (New York, New York).
Edgardo works for the US Department of Defense. He also manages iDonovan an international recruiting database service localized for 67 countries and NETworldwide an online technology tradeshow. Previously, he was the Director of Web Marketing/Design in Dublin, Ireland for the financial services division of First-e Group PLC one of Europe's largest e-Banks valued at 1.6 billion euros at the time (UNOfirst). Prior to that, Eddie was the Webmaster/Electronic Marketing Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts for Process Software Corporation a 120 employee $25M software engineering firm.
He is also a hyperpolyglot having varying levels of proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding in nine languages and twenty-one related dialects. Proficiency in sixteen of those languages and dialects has been certified by the Defense Language Institute through DLPT (Defense Language Proficiency Test) examinations.
