Edguardo Rigaud

Edguardo Rigaud a.k.a. "Eddy Rigaud" was a French-Haitian Lucchese crime family mob associate from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, a direct blood relative descendant of the Haitian Revolution military leader Andre Rigaud (1761-1811) and Hyacinthe Rigaud (July 20, 1659-December 27, 1743). and member of the Vario Crew.

Edguardo (Edguard) Rigaud was a Mulatto-skinned creole of Haitian and Spanish ancestory born in Haiti. He was well educated and fluent in English, but his native tongue was the Haitian Creole language. Edguardo is a direct blood relative descendant of the Haitian Revolution military leader Andre Rigaud (1761-1811) and Hyacinthe Rigaud (July 20, 1659-December 27, 1743). He was raised in an extremely wealthy and politically influential family. Edguardo worked as an import-export agent for the containerization company Sea-Land Service, Inc from the 1960's to 1970's. Edguardo was also the proprietor and manager of a small independent maquiladora retail store in Jamaica, Queens where he sold Haitian sweat shop-manufactured merchandise. Edguardo became involved with Henry Hill in grand theft auto. Henry Hill would have kids from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn like Michael "Spider" Gianco or Frank James Burke steal the cars for a $100-a-piece, and Henry would get ten or twelve cars a week. He would park them in the rear of parking lots to get them off the street, and he would get the Vehicle Identification Numbers for them from cars that were going to be compacted at Clyde Brooks's Bargain Auto Junkyard (now "The Spring Creek Composting Facility") located at 12720-B Flatlands Avenue in Starrett City, Brooklyn. Henry Hill would then send the cars down to the Queens Harbor. They would all be new model cars, mostly Ford Mavericks, Ford Pintos, Ford Falcons, Volkswagen Beetles, Chevrolet Corvairs, Plymouth Valiants, and other compact cars like Rambler Americans. Edguardo paid $750 a car. Edguardo was also involved in people smuggling. He was a close associate of fellow Sea-Land Service, Inc employee, and Lucchese crime family mob associate Charles V. Errigo.
