Edgewood Regional High School

Edgewood Regional High School opened in 1958. Though the mailing address of the school was Atco, New Jersey, the site actually resided in a section of Winslow Township known as Tansboro. The school closed in 2001 due to the breakup of the Lower Camden County Regional High School District (L.C.C.R.H.S.) which consisted of Edgewood and Overbrook Regional High School. The buildings were turned over to the Winslow Township School District and became Winslow Township High School. Likewise Overbrook dropped the "regional" part of its name and became Overbrook High School (part of the Pine Hill Schools). At the time of the district dissolution, Edgewood was receiving students from Winslow Township, Waterford Township, and Chesilhurst Borough. Waterford Township reached an agreement with Hammonton to send its students to Hammonton High School rather than the newly renamed Winslow Township High School.[1]

- Eugene Chojnacki, class of 1963, Commander of the New Jersey Air National Guard from 2004-2006, retiring at the rank of Major General.[2][3]
- Dennis Davis, Jr. class of 2001, cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks.[4][5]
- Mike DeNardo, class of 19**, sportswriter and broadcaster.[6]
- Lee DeRamus, class of 1989, played two seasons for the NFL football New Orleans Saints.[7]
- Donald E. Heggan, class of 1962, killed in action in the Vietnam War.[8]
- Robert R. Huster, class of 1963, killed in action in the Vietnam War.[9]
- Alan C. Maloney, class of 1974, South Jersey wrestling official and member of the South Jersey Wrestling Hall of Fame.[10]
- Paul E. Mauriello, class of 1960, South Jersey wrestling coach and member of the South Jersey Wrestling Hall of Fame.[10]
- Dennis Mitchell, class of 1984, is a former American track and field athlete, winner of the gold medal in 4x100 m relay at the 1992 Summer Olympics.[11]
- David M. Tapper, class of 1988, killed in action in the war in Afghanistan.[12]
