Edgemont High School is a high school in Greenburgh, Westchester County, New York. In 2006, it was named 61st best high school in the country by Newsweek magazine, the 26th best high school in the country by The Washington Post, and Newsweek in 2005. It also was named 41st best high school in 2007 by Newsweek. It has been consistently ranked as the number one school in Westchester County. U.S. News and World Report in its list of Best High Schools of 2008 ranked the high school the 28th. [1]

The current principal is Dr. Barry Friedman, who began working in the Edgemont School District in the late 1970s as the school psychologist in Greenville Elementary School. He soon became head of the Edgemont Teachers Union.
