From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Edgar Snyder (born September 6, 1941) is a Pittsburgh-area personal injury attorney. Born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania to Polish and Russian immigrants, Snyder was pressured at an early age to pursue a professional career. After being educated at Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Snyder has been practicing law in western Pennsylvania since the 1960s. He began his career as a criminal defense lawyer, but eventually made his reputation in personal injury cases.
Snyder may be most notable for his ubiquitous presence on western Pennsylvania airwaves. Since the mid-1980s, he has regularly appeared on local television advertisements, often repeating the claim that "there's never a fee unless we get money for you." His firm, Edgar Snyder & Associates, employs around 100 people and 20 lawyers. Snyder no longer personally takes on cases, citing his notoriety as being potentially detrimental to his clients.
Snyder lives with his wife, Sandy (whom he credits with creating and managing his brand) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
