Edgar Morais

Edgar Morais (Coimbra, 25 June 1989) is an actor.
Edgar Morais was a student in Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais, and was tutored by Carlos Avilez and João Vasco. While studying there he played parts in plays by Gil Vicente, António José da Silva, William Shakespeare, Molière, Almada Negreiros, Brian Friel, Sophocles, Aristophanes and Jean Genet. Along with other subjects, he got training in Artistic Fencing, Physical Expression and Dancing.
As an actor for the theatre it is worth mentioning the parts he played in Alice by Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus, directed by Carlos Avilez, at Teatro Mirita Casimiro, TEC, The Kitchen by Arnold Wesker, directed by Carlos Avilez, at Teatro Mirita Casimiro, TEC, Brain Storm by Polly Toynbee, directed by Carlos Avilez and The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, directed by Luís Miguel Cintra that won a Golden Globe for best show of the year (2008), Teatro da Cornucópia at São Luiz Teatro Municipal, Lisbon.
He got his first cinema role in the film Daqui Pr'á Frente, (From Now On) by Catarina Ruivo, opening in 2007.
He plays Dan in Drew Renaud's next film Coach Shane.
