[edit] Player's name - Eddy or Eddie

He is variously and inconsistently called Eddy or Eddie. I've gone with Eddy because that's the spelling used in the Eddy Brown interview in Lancashire Evening Post (2003) which is a major source for the article. It's also the way he's spelt in material from the Birmingham City Historical Society who arrange players' reunions etc so deal with him personally, and on the committee members list of Broughton Amateurs AFC.
