I don't know if there are many jazz fans out there today that know much about Eddie Costa. Like Clifford Brown, he left us at a very early age. Eddie was a master at playing the piano in the minor key. To hear him was like listening to someone who is scuba diving for deeper emotions way down at the bottom of the sea. Eddie never stopped swinging, he would weave in and out of a passage opening up and searching every possible avenue to explore.
