Edcel Lagman

Edcel C. Lagman (born May 1, 1942) is a Filipino politician. He has been elected to five terms as a as a Member of the House of Representatives, representing the 1st District of Albay, serving from 1987 to 1998, and from 2004 to the present. His daughter Krisel represented the district from 1998 to 2004.
A graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law, Lagman is the older brother of Filemon "Popoy" Lagman, the founder of the Partido ng Manggagawa who was assassinated in 2001. Another brother, Hermon, was a political activist who disappeared during the martial law government of President Ferdinand Marcos.[1] Lagman is presently a member of the LAKAS-CMD Party.
