Well, rest in peace wherever you are; along with Shane Rimmer he was one of the British film and television industry's favourite accessible American actors. He is also linked to the recently deceased Michael Billington by the James Bond films. Ed was in 'You Only Live Twice' - near the beginning, as a NASA ground controller - and 'Diamonds are Forever', whilst Billington was considered for the role of Bond and ended up being killed at the beginning of 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.-Ashley Pomeroy 16:41, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Good-bye Old Friend

Good-bye old friend. Yet another great actor departs the world. I remember him in JOURNEY TO THE FAR SIDE OF THE SUN and the series UFO. Not to mentin the brief appearance he made in my #1 favourite movie. Through his many performances, he touched the lives of many people -- of which I am only one. -- User:Jason Palpatine 06:21, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Leukemia?

A couple of times now I have had to revert statements that said Bishop died of leukemia. While I'm not denying he had the disease, I have been unable to find any online source to confirm that he had leukemia, let alone that this was the cause of his death. According to the only online source I could find that actually discussed the cause of death (the Fanderson page), Bishop died of a chest infection while undergoing tests for "an undisclosed blood disorder" (I'm willing to guess what that blood disorder is). If someone can provide a source to indicate differently, please cite it before changing the cause of death. Meanwhile, I deleted the Independent obituary link as it is no longer active, updated the Fanderson link since their tribute has been moved into the archive. I considered deleting the Yahoo Group link on the basis that membership is required, but I let it be. 23skidoo 14:56, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
