From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ed Video Media Arts Centre is a revolutionary art center located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It is a non-profit organisation. Ed Video was founded in 1976 by a group of young artists who wished to create a place to explore the emerging medium of video. In the title, 'Ed' is short for educational. Although video technology has emerged rapidly in the last 30 years, education has remained a focus of the centre. Ed Video hosts workshops, monthly video screenings, and provides equipment to shoot and edit independent videos.

Ed Video assisted the creation of more than 70 films in 2006 and 85 films in 2007. With a growing number of artist members, that number will continue to grow each year.
