Ed Stokes

Edward (Ed) Kobie Stokes (born September 3, 1971, in Syracuse, New York, United States) is a professional American basketball player. He attended the University of Arizona, and was selected by the Miami Heat in the 1993 NBA Draft (2nd round, 35th overall).
During his collegiate career, he scored 984 points, grabbed 644 rebounds, and blocked 167 shots.
In the NBA, his rights were traded by the Heat to the Washington Bullets in 1995, he has signed with the Bullets, but was waived before playing for them in an NBA game. He was also under contract with the Denver Nuggets (Oct '96) and Seattle SuperSonics (Oct '97 and Sep-Oct '00). He played for those teams in the pre-season games only, and not in any NBA regular season games. He played 4 games for the Toronto Raptors in the 1997-98 season, averaging 0.8 PPG and 1.0 RPG in 4.3 MPG.
