Ed Stefanski is a former general manager for the New Jersey Nets, until December 4, 2007 when he assumed the same role for Atlantic Division rival, (and his hometown) Philadelphia 76ers.
Stefanski grew up in the Delaware Valley attending Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby and playing college basketball at the University of Pennsylvania. He replaced former Sixer GM Billy King. Ed was a 10th round selection of the 76ers in the 1976 NBA Draft.
