Ed Mitchell

Ed Mitchell (b. 1953) is a UK former television presenter and news reader, best known for his work with ITN. He also worked for Reuters, the BBC, European Business Channel, European Business News and CNBC Europe in the 1990s.
In 2007, newspapers revealed that he was currently homeless.[1][2] In January 2008, a documentary, "Saving Ed Mitchell" was shown about his struggle with alcoholism, and homelessness. The end of the documentary showed him being given an opportunity to return to presenting if he attended The Priory clinic for rehabilitation. He was said to have abstained from drinking for three weeks at the closure of the programme, and for his doctors to be optimistic about his recovery.He is now three months sober and currently writing a book about his experiences.[3]
