Ed Krupp

Edwin C. Krupp is an American astronomer and the director of the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles since 1974. He received his PhD in astronomy from UCLA in 1972. His PhD advisor was George Abell.
One of his fields of interest is the study of archaeoastronomy around the world. He has written widely on the subject, including In Search of Ancient Astronomies and Archaeoastronomy and the Roots of Science.
He hosted the astronomy educational series "Project Universe" in the late 1970's.
His wife, Robin Rector Krupp is a children's author. Continuing to this day, he remains the director of Griffith Observatory.
