Ed Harding

Ed Harding is the principal anchor on WCVB-TV (Channel 5) in Boston, anchoring the 5, 6, and 11 PM editions of NewsCenter 5. He has been at the station since 1988, where he was a weekend sports anchor and Candlepin bowling host. He became the host of the Eyeopener in 2000, and took over the primetime newscasts in March of 2007 alongside Natalie Jacobson, who retired July 18th, 2007.
Before working in Boston, he had worked at WISH-TV in Indianapolis and hosted programming on the Indianapolis Colts. He also had worked at WDSU in New Orleans from 1978-81, and a reporter in Minnesota and Plattsburgh, NY in the early '70's.
A native of Newton, Harding lives in Wellesley with family.
