The Ed Chynoweth Cup
The Ed Chynoweth Cup

The Ed Chynoweth Cup is awarded annually to the champion of the Western Hockey League. Formerly known as the President's Cup, the award was renamed in 2007 to honour Ed Chynoweth's long service to the Western Hockey League.

Since 1972, the WHL champion has earned a berth into the Memorial Cup tournament, the Canadian national Major-Junior championship. Teams that went on to win the Memorial Cup are denoted with a blue background. Teams that won the Memorial Cup as the tournament host, but not the league champion are not included.
