Ed Banach is an athlete who wrestled for the University of Iowa. He was a standout wrestler, with a career record of 141-9-1. He was a four-time NCAA All-American, and a three-time NCAA national champion. Banach won a gold medal in the 1984 Olympic Games. His twin brother Lou Banach also won a wrestling gold medal in the 1984 Olympics.
He was inducted into the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame in 1997.
