Template talk:Economy of the United Kingdom table

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There's a kind of confusing portion under Public Finances there, in "External Debt" was taken from the source, but that was the entire debt of the U.K., including private. I didn't think it should be under Public Finances (seeing how it is, well, public only), so I changed the number to reflect actual government debt, because that is a number that should be reported on.

However, if government debt is reported on, would the name "External Debt" have to be changed? Furthermore, what is that number with the long title and given a value of 39 bn as the first number under the Public Finances section about?

Total External Debt can be reported, but probably not under Public Finances. Fephisto 18:04, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
