Talk:Economic Democracy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I came across this article Economic Democracy with a capital "D" while looking at the economic democracy article with a lowercase "d". The latter currently needs a lot of work, but the term has been used for almost a century, and Schweickart's "D" usage is subject to some confusion. I'm not sure what the best thing to do with this article, but some possibilities, depending on what eventually happens at economic democracy:
- Merge to the David Schweickart article (which is quite basic now. This might be the best course if Schweickart's usage isn't widely quoted. This page could redirect there, or to a future disambiguation page for economic democracy.
- Move text to economic democracy - if that page becomes a page with multiple small sections on various usages, this could become one of them.
- rename this page to something like "Economic Democracy (Schweickart)" with the appropriate disambiguation entries
- leave this as is, and list it on any disambiguation pages. The main problem is that since there is going to be an economic democracy page of some sort, having a separate page differing only in the capitalization may not be the best idea.
Any thoughts? I'm going to try and fix up economic democracy first, but I'm curious if anyone is watching this page and has any useful ideas. - David Oberst 02:14, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
I moved the text to David Schweickart, and redirected there temporarily. Once the economic democracy article is revised, a redirection there may be more appropriate. - David Oberst 16:55, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
