[edit] Just a multi-disciplinary research?

Could it be explained how the ecoinformatics differs from any other multi-disciplinary research (apart from its area)? Pavel Vozenilek 17:49, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hmmm... not sure I understand this point. Ecoinformatics is a research area and obviously the disciplines it integrates make its identity unique... can you clarify what the problem is? I can certainly clarify its definition in a cross-disciplinary context and link to other disciplines if that's what you're asking for, but it doesn't sound that important in order to understand what it is, and I wouldn't want to dilute the message in a page this short. I certainly plan to add more information in the future (if nobody else does), like describing key projects and organizations - that should help clarifying. Fvilla 13:58, 8 Apr 2005 (EDT)

I ask because one could replace the word "ecoinformatics" in the article with other research and it may still make sense. Could there be concrete examples? Pavel Vozenilek 19:39, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
