The company delivers solutions for renewable energy (solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy) to ensure a sustainable energy supply for everyone. Econcern employs 1,000 professionals in 20 countries across the world.
Econcern has been ranked No. 234 in Europe’s top 500 listing of high growth, job-creating companies in 2007 and was named ‘Business of the Year’ at the CMS European Business Awards in 2008.
Founder and Chairman of the Board is Ad van Wijk. Ad van Wijk was chosen Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 and the Influencer of the Year 2008 and is still competing to become World Entrepreneur of the Year 2008. This competition is organised by Ernst & Young.
