eCollege is an on-demand, or Software as a Service (SaaS), provider of eLearning software and services to secondary and post-secondary learning institutions. Founded in 1996 as Real Education, the company went public in 2002 as eCollege.com (NASDAQ: ECLG). As of July 31, 2007 eCollege is a division of Pearson PLC.

eCollege develops and hosts e-Learning software applications and support services for colleges, universities and virtual schools. These institutions use eCollege’s learning management system to deliver and manage online courses for students. Client schools include the University of Colorado Denver, The Art Institutes and Kaplan University.
