Eclipse Island (Western Australia)

Eclipse Island is a barren island in Western Australia, near Albany, that has a light house on it. The Eclipse Island Lighthouse was built in 1926 as a manned kerosene light. It is a waypoint for the Volvo Ocean Race. The island is composed of granite and has a total area of 99 hectares (245 acres) and was declared a Class 1A Nature Reserve in 2000.[1]
