[edit] Storyline

Eclipse is a third-person total conversion of Valve's Half-Life 2. Eclipse is an action and adventure game, featuring puzzles and combat. The player plays a character named Violet, who is a young sorceress who has learnt telekinesis. This ability allows Violet to pick up and throw objects she sees around. Once the player gets used to picking up objects and throwing them at targets, the movement of Violet becomes very important. From now on, the player needs to use this ability carefully by planning an attack tactic, that will cause the objects selected to hurt, or even reach the enemy. As the player progresses, he learns new abilities like Hellstorm, an ability to summon up to three "Fairy Orbs" which can cause significant damage. Near the end of the story, the player needs to battle many tough enemies which are hard to target and damage.

[edit] Critical reaction

Eclipse received the ModDB 2005 Editor's Choice award for released mods from Mod DB. ModDB highlighted an interesting telekenisis-based combat, gorgeous visuals, excellent level design and original soundtrack.[3]
