EC Red Bull Salzburg are a member of the Erste Bank Hockey League. They play their games in Salzburg, Austria. They play their home games at Eisarena Salzburg.
On September 25, 2007 They played the Los Angeles Kings to a 7-6 loss. [1]
During the 2007 Continental Cup, held in Aalborg - Denmark, they finished the tournement with 1 win, and 2 losses. Beating HK Slavija Ljubljana of Slovenia 8-0, they then went on to lose 3-2 in overtime to the Coventry Blaze of the British Elite League, then also losing 4-2 to the hosts, AaB Aalborg, in the final game. The game against the Blaze was significant in the sense that the British team overcame a 0-2 deficit in the final 5 minutes of the game to secure the victory. One of the biggest upsets ever in club ice hockey.
