[edit] Some stuff

I like the idea.

A few things to think about:

  • Is there enough interest to have sections such as 'Selected Picture,' and 'DYK' (also news)?
  • Which leads to: Is there a nomination procedure, I saw the red link for the pictures one.

I am just concerned that many of the members on our list are inactive, for the most part. Can we confirm this, perhaps a mass message sending to find out who is still active in the project? IvoShandor 09:40, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

For an example of what happens see Portal:Film. IvoShandor 12:10, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
I keep an eye on most of the NRHPs all over, and I see members (and others) adding, updating and expanding stuff. I think people are doing work for the project, but not necessarily posting that info to the group. Everyone can't be like you and me, ya know? *lol*
Still, I see your meaning. I'm thinking maybe a low-scale version of the portal first. Something that can be set up and require a minimum of maintenance. The 'Selected Picture' appeals, but it may require more work than we're ready for. 'DYK' wouldn't be that hard to update though.
I don't see right off what you mean with the film portal. Has it not been updated for a while? As long as it's got good info and such, that's not too bad. Like, back in June (when I was still new), Portal:Florida was up for deletion. Of course I jumped in like gangbusters and expanded it, so it didn't get deleted. It hasn't been updated much since, but it's still a good portal, IMHO. ;) Back atcha. --Ebyabe 13:03, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah something like two or three updates since mid December, and nothing on the talk pages in eons. But I think we can make it work. IvoShandor 13:05, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
