ebXML Messaging Services (ebMS) is a standard under the E-Business XML umbrella which provides a secure and reliable SOAP / Web Services based transport protocol to the ebXML Architecture.
The Hermes Messaging Gateway is an open-source software commonly deployed in messaging applications to support this standard. This software is available for free download under freebXML.org.
