EBX is a Brazilian company founded by Eike Batista (one of the richest men of Brazil) in 1983 in Rio de Janeiro. The headquarter is on Flamengo Beach, Rio de Janeiro.

Eike Batista is a billionaire of Brazil. He was born in Minas Gerais, but grew up in Rio de Janeiro. His first job was at Vale do Rio Doce. After he stopped, he bought shares of the companies BVRJ and Bolsa do Rio. The value of the stocks increased, and he became manager of the EBX group, becoming one of the richest men in Brazil. He was married with the model Luma de Oliveira.
