Ebu Gogo is an "action/adventure" band based in Providence, Rhode Island. [1]Their style is almost overtly linear (lacking the cyclical nature and recurring motifs common in almost all music). Their compositions have been described as resembling those of the classical genre, due to their complexity and dramatic quality. The stated mission of the band is to "enjoy itself, reference movies more than music, and embrace its inner nerd." [2]

The band members are: Justin Abene (bass), Brendan Bell (drums), and Gavin Castleton (keyboards)[3]. All are members of the band Gruvis Malt[4], a moderately successful project established in 1995. [5].

Ebu Gogo performs semi-regularly in the New England area.

They have, at various points, in the course of promotion, made references to a film "Things Change, My First Time" and to Clint Howard (Ron Howard's brother, a.k.a. "Ugly Man").
