Ebrahim Hakimi (Variation: Ibrahim Hakimi; also known as Hakim-ol-Molk or Hakimolmolk) (1871 – October 19, 1959) was a Prime Minister of Iran.
He was Born in Tabriz and attended Dar ol-Fonoon, and finished advanced studies in Medicine in Paris.
He served as royal physician to Mozzafar-al-Din Shah. He then became Member of Parliament, and served as Minister 17 times, and three times as Prime Minister.
His tenure as Prime Minister was short-lived as the Soviets, angry over his refusal to grant them an oil concession in Northern Iran, inspired Azerbaijani Communists to declare independence from Iran. Soviet troop occupying the Norther regions refused to allow Iranian troops to enter the region to put-down the uprising. Hakimi submitted the issue to the UN Security Council and resigned from office as a protest of Soviet actions.
He died in Tehran at the age of 91.
