Ebony Thomas

Ebony Thomas also known as Ebony Bones is a British actress and singer-songwriter who is best known for playing the role of resident "glamour-puss" Yasmin McHugh on the five soap opera Family Affairs from 1998 until 2005. She was one of the programme's youngest and longest-serving cast members, and was known for both her own and her character's fashion sense.
In 2002, 2003 and 2004 Thomas was nominated for The British Soap Awards Sexiest female. In 2004 and 2005, Thomas was nominated for The British Soap Awards "Best Comedy Actor".
Thomas has subsequently reinvented herself as a musician under the moniker Ebony Bones. She writes, produces, plays her own instruments and sings all her own material. She performed live at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2007. Most recently Bones single We Know All About U was made both "Single Of The Week" and "The Hottest Record In The World Today" by BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe becoming Radio 1's most played single by an unsigned artist. Her limited edition second single Don't Fart On My Heart also became "Single Of The Week" and "The Hottest Record In The World Today" on the Zane Lowe Show, with the award winning video named Best Video by The British Council for the Onedotzero festival. She has appeared in publications such as i-D, NME, Vice, The Guardian, The Observer and Entertainment Weekly.
Ebony Bones will perform at one of the most anticipated music events of the year, Meltdown (festival) curated by Massive Attack. Held at The Royal Festival Hall she will perform at the event with Grace Jones on the 19th of June.
On the 28th of June she will again appear at the much anticipated 2008 Glastonbury Festival headlined by Jay-Z.
