Alter ego Xanth

Ebon Seeker is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe.

Xanth was an alien from the far future, who, along with his lover Shareen, were pulled into the Black Hole at the site of the "Big Bang" that created the universe. Xanth died and was reborn as an insane, immensely powerful entity that absorbs all mass and energy around him, even as whatever planet he visits drains off his own vital energies. The Ebon Seeker fled into the distant pair, and traveled from planet to planet for eons, destroyed each world as he died, and then being reborn to continue the cycle.

As Reed Richards send a signal to help NASA track a missing satellite, The Ebon Seeker intercepted the transmission and followed it to Earth. The Fantastic Four tried to stop him, but their powers were useless against him. Finally his transformed lover, now called Firefrost, appeared to stop him from destroying the Earth. She managed to convince him to accompany her back to the Black Hole and become a creature of light like herself.
