Ebon Atoll

Coordinates: 04°38′00″N 168°43′00″E / 4.633333, 168.716667 Ebon Atoll is an atoll of 22 islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is a legislative district of the Ralik Chain of the Marshall Islands. Its total land area is only 2.22 miles², but that encloses a deep lagoon of 40.09 miles². It is the southern most landmass of the Marshall Islands as it is on the southern extremity of the Ralik Chain.

A passage leads to the lagoon from the southwest edge of the atoll. The winding passage is called the Ebon Channel.

The population of Ebon Atoll is 741.

Ebon is also the first atoll in the Marshall Islands that was spotted by the Missionaries in 1857
