[edit] PackBB and its deletion

Hello. There are a few reasons why the article keeps getting deleted. First, the project is not very notable. A google search turns up old wikipedia page and some forum links. This means, generally, that the project is not important enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia. Second, you said that "It is meant to help people that don't know what it is learn the history of the project and its current status". Wikipedia is not meant to take the place of a company's webpage and that is what tends to make your project come across as advertising. If you were able to find verifiable external sources (like legtimate news articles, interviews, etc.) which asserted the importance of PackBB, then it would merit inclusion. Thank you for helping me. Soon it might be notable but I guess not right now. I only meant it to be a to help people to find a phpbb3 premod. They are kind of hard to find. Sorry it cam across as an advertisement, I just like to help people find what they want. Eatingsoup 03:25, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
