Eaton Township is a township in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,644 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 37.3 square miles (96.7 km²), of which, 36.2 square miles (93.7 km²) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.9 km²) of it (3.03%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,644 people, 651 households, and 451 families residing in the township. The population density was 45.4 people per square mile (17.5/km²). There were 842 housing units at an average density of 23.3/sq mi (9.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.72% White, 0.12% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.06% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.12% of the population.
There were 651 households out of which 31.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.2% were married couples living together, 6.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 3.02.
In the township the population was spread out with 25.5% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 94.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.2 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $37,174, and the median income for a family was $50,132. Males had a median income of $30,817 versus $20,893 for females. The per capita income for the township was $18,464. About 3.3% of families and 6.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 7.2% of those under age 18 and 7.1% of those age 65 or over.
